Calvin Koh

About

Calvin is a guitarist and producer who graduated with first-class honours from LASALLE College of the Arts, where he earned a BA (Hons) Degree in Music. His passion for guitar began at 14 and led him to formal music education and a career in the field.

With over eight years of teaching experience across neighbourhood schools and private settings, Calvin customises lessons to each student's goals and learning pace — ensuring consistent progress while keeping lessons fun. He specialises in Fusion, Funk and Neo-Soul.

Calvin has been active in the local music scene for a decade, performing and recording as a session guitarist with artists like Reub, Sherman Zhuo and Gail Belmonte. He co-runs production company Clearwater Studio, offering writing, recording, mixing and mastering. In 2021 he and his partner won Universal Music's UCompose competition, with their work showcased in New York City.
